“but I see God’s light….”

I don’t typically promote (and/or blog about) TV shows but I was watching Blue Bloods this past Friday evening and there was a scene between the Police Commissioner and his father which was just the challenge I needed…. Because sometimes life just doesn’t make sense…..

The conversation wasn’t long…
it was just a father and his son talking about life…
working through the struggles they experience as humans…
trying to understand the “why” of it all:

“Son – I don’t know why some of us get sick and some of us don’t.  Just like I don’t know why He took Mary and Joe from us too soon…  but I see God’s light in this family – everyday and though I do not understand it — I TRUST in His plan for us all…”

Some people call faith (or trust in God and His plan) – BLIND.  But sometimes life has too many questions that the ONLY thing we can do is believe — to trust in Someone we can not see……  because that belief is the only thing that truly makes any sense!
